What Artis families are saying
I am posting an update review.
I lost my wife after 39 wonderful years. Her last 14 months were confined to a wheel chair. The love and support 24 hours a day were relentless.
The staff were always interacting with Francoise and brought others together creating a happy and calm envirment. There was always an activity that worked in such a way all the residents could react.
A huge thank you to the staff and management for always providing a loving environment and the 100 percent support.

After visiting several facilities, I walked into Artis and was welcomed by the receptionist who made me feel so comfortable. The reception area is small and quaint, unlike some of the other facilities with the fancy chandeliers and shiny marble floors. I could already tell that this place was very different from where my husband lived. As I toured the facility and met with different staff members, they told me that they truly enjoyed working there, most of them telling me that they had worked there for several years. This says a lot in an industry where there is a lot of turnover.
Touring the 4 different neighborhoods, the common meeting area, and the beautifully maintained outdoor space and walking trails, I noticed the care and attention that the team takes to make sure that everything is just like home. When they brought me into the neighborhood where my husband would sleep and have his meals, I met two amazing Care Partners whose job it is is to make sure my husband’s personal needs and meals were taken care of. Both of these women had been working at Artis for several years, which made me realize that they loved their jobs and were treated well by management. I spoke to the wonderful nurse on duty who, also, had been working there for several years. She was just as kind as everyone else that I had met.
I have enjoyed eating several meals with my husband. The chef prepares meals that rival a fine dining restaurant with all fresh ingredients (no frozen vegetables and fruit are ever served)! No wonder the food is so good. He is a trained chef, graduating from the Miami Culinary Institute. Artis does not skimp on anything!
Something that I had never encountered in all the different facilities that I had visited is a woman whose job it is is to make sure that everything is handled the “Artis Way”, following the high standards set by Artis. She spends the first two days of a resident’s arrival showing them around their new home and taking them to all the wonderful activities they plan each day. My concerns about my husband’s transition to a new facility were no longer a concern.
I needed to look no further. I had found the place where my husband would be looked after as if I was taking care of him. it couldn’t have been a smoother transition. He has now lived at Artis for almost 6 weeks, and I cannot find anything negative to say. I visit him often and always leave with a sense of calm, knowing that he is in a place where he gets the compassionate care that he deserves.
I must say that throughout my 30 years in Senior Living, Artis of Boca really gives me that down home feeling. We truly love our residents
and I love being part of team Boca!

Hello again, everyone! 👋 For my last video this week, I wanted to share a more personal moment — I'm delivering a fruit basket to one of our residents, Fran W. 🍌🍎
It's a small gesture, but it means a lot to her. Making sure our residents have access to fresh foods, and getting to see their reaction firsthand, is exactly why I do this work. This is “Thoughtfulness Wins” in action – extending meaningful gestures to the residents we serve.
Thank you all for following along with me this week — it's been an honor to have the Artis Mic! 🎤 Stay tuned next month for a behind the scenes of Artis of Branford with Jen!

That 🫰SNAP🫰 of pasta right before it hits the boiling water — there’s nothing like it.
Hello again, everyone! 👋 It’s Jack, back for day two of this week’s Pass the Mic. Today, I’m preparing one of our residents’ all-time favorites: Pasta Carbonara. 🍝 🧅 🥓
Making it all come together — the bacon, the onions, the simmering — is why I love this work. It ties right back to Inspired Well-Being at Artis: understanding that a good meal is part of what makes a day feel full and connected. 💙
Another video is coming your way tomorrow — stay tuned! 👀

🌤️ With air quality alerts in effect across our region due to wildfire smoke, our team is keeping a close eye on conditions and adjusting our day to keep residents safe and comfortable indoors.
Our team has a full slate of indoor programming today including music and creative arts to wellness activities and games, so residents can stay engaged, social, and having fun, rain, shine —> or smoke!
As always, the well-being of our residents is our top priority. Families, if you have questions about today's precautions, our team is always happy to talk. 💛

💙🤍❤️ What better way to celebrate our country’s 250th year of independence than by exercising our freedom to choose? Preferences were expressed – and more importantly, heard – at Artis’s July Power of Play signature events! We “voted” on pressing issues like coffee vs. tea and dogs vs. cats – then joined in an Open Studio experience where residents chose from creative programs to enjoy together.
Self-expression is essential to emotional well-being on the dementia journey – and honoring our residents’ autonomy is The Artis Way.

Meet Cassandra McFadden, June's Positive Partner of the Month at Artis of Huntingdon Valley in Pennsylvania!
"As a caregiver, the most meaningful part of my work is building connections with residents and helping them feel safe and valued," said Cassandra. "And when I can bring them a moment of joy, that really makes my day."Each month, every Artis community recognizes an extra-thoughtful associate – nominated by residents, families, and fellow associates – who embodies The Artis Way."
For seven years, Cassandra has played a significant role in our day-to-day care planning," said Executive Director Kenyatta Williamson. "When a need arises that requires a especially skilled approach, the first question we ask is, 'Is Cassandra here?' She is kind, reliable, and extremely effective as a member of our care team, and we are grateful for the way she continues to show compassion for our residents."
Thank you, Cassandra, for making a positive difference in the lives of the people you serve! 💙
