ARTIS REELS
Real people. Real moments. Real Artis.
Watch how our residents and team members bring our value of “Inspired Well-Being”
to life in every story.
Maverick shares the joy of seeing his grandmother thrive at Artis — from compassionate care to creative expression through art. “It’s just a joy,” he says, watching her engage and connect in a place where genuine people support and uplift each resident.
Life Enrichment at Artis is powered by people with the training, heart, and intuition to transform everyday moments into meaningful experiences. Meet Marlene, one of our Life Enrichment Directors, whose superpower is discovering what brings each resident to life.

We’ll have an even better time if you’re here. Join us for an event.

Meet Tyler Annicchiarico, Positive Partner of the Month at Artis of Briarcliff Manor in New York! 🙌 July was National Culinary Arts Month, a chance to celebrate the associates who bring so much comfort and connection to residents’ days through food. You can see Tyler kept the fun going for residents during our recent Summer Slice Showdown watermelon carving contest! 🍉
“Being able to provide delicious meals and ensure everyone is satisfied and well cared for is what makes my work so meaningful,” said Tyler. 🧑🍳 Each month, Artis communities recognize extra-thoughtful associates – nominated by residents, families, and fellow associates – who embody The Artis Way.
“Tyler brings warmth, kindness, and flavor to our community, making every meal a moment of joy for our residents,” said Diana Penna, the community’s Executive Director. “He is always willing to lend a helping hand, whether setting up for a special celebration or making sure someone gets their favorite dessert. No matter the task, Tyler does it with a smile and a genuine commitment to making each day a little brighter for everyone around him!” 🤗
Thank you, Tyler, for making a positive difference in the lives of the people you serve! 💙

🌟 Meet Betty – music lover with a heart full of faith! 🌟
✅ Requests the best songs during programming
✅ Never misses a Rosary Club or Sunday Communion.
✅ A neatnik who loves to straighten up before the fun begins.
😄Betty from Artis of Yardley has a way of making a space feel warmer just by being in it. Whether she's belting out a favorite hymn, winning at “Name that Tune”, or cuddling up with Maverick and Moose during pet therapy, she brings joy to every room she's in.
Her husband, Steve, visits nearly every day. He's made beautiful posters of their life together that line her suite – a love story you can see the moment you walk in.
💛Betty has blossomed at Artis – finding the community that make every day feel meaningful. Her care partner, Gigi, even made sure her birthday was extra special with a cake and a gift, because remembering those small details is the Artis Way.

It’s that time of year, when students return to the classroom for a new year of learning.
At Artis, we’re helping our residents continue to learn, grow, and engage with the world through the Power of Play. For people living with dementia, learning can evolve into practicing familiar skills and sharing what they know with others.

Moving a loved one into memory care is a significant transition for a family – and an emotional one. There are logistics to navigate and paperwork to gather – but the most important preparation often goes much deeper than a packing list.
At Artis, move-in begins with getting to know the person – their routines, relationships, favorite music, lifelong interests, and the details that make them who they are. A few things that can help make the transition smoother:
🏡 Arrange familiar furniture and photos before move-in day
📋 Share personal history through our signature Partnership Profile
💙 Stay connected through consistent, quality visits, especially in the early weeks
☑️ Find out what to expect, how to prepare, and what to pack – and know that your family won’t navigate it alone.

Today is National Avocado Day, but we’ve been celebrating summer’s humble-looking yet brain-healthy fruit all month long! 🥑
Every Wednesday in July, we gathered with our fellow avo-conno-isseurs for “Avocad-Oh-So-Happy Hour”. To wrap things up, we enjoyed a fresh chef’s choice avocado creation with a special tableside guacamole preparation full of smashing, seasoning, and tasting together. 🧑🍳
Great brain health starts on the plate, and the avocado proves that the most powerful ingredients are often the most delicious ones. At Artis, every dish we serve is an investment in the minds and lives of the people we care for. 💙

💪 Artis joins all Americans in honoring the achievements and celebrating the life of Jeanne Gibson — one of the last original World War II "Rosie the Riveters" — who passed away yesterday at age 100.
Jeanne left Minnesota at age 18 to weld destroyers, and later earned her Ph.D. and pilot's license, and later received a Congressional Gold Medal for her service.
Thank you for your service, Jeanne. 🫡

When was the last time someone asked how you’re doing?
Not as the daughter. Not as the caregiver. As a person. July 24 was International Self-Care Day – and if you're caring for a loved one living with dementia, this one is for you. More than 53 million Americans provide unpaid care each year. The exhaustion is real. So is the guilt that often comes with taking a break. But here's a reminder worth holding onto: your loved one doesn't need a perfect caregiver. They need a healthy one. Self-care isn't selfish – it’s how you keep showing up with love. 🫶
Read more about what caregivers truly need – and deserve – this National Self-Care Day.
