Choice, smiles, and sunny skies at The Great Game Mix! ☀️🎲🃏
We had the absolute best afternoon letting our residents call the shots! For this special hour, everyone got to pick exactly what they wanted to do, and the options were endless.
Inside, the energy was buzzing! We saw some intense matches of Uno, dominoes, and classic playing cards. Others tested their wordsmith skills with the banana game (Banagrams), relaxed at our puzzle table, or unwound with some peaceful "Color Me Calm" coloring. 🖍️🧩
To make the day even better, residents chose their perfect environment. Some took their favorite activities out to the patio to enjoy the beautiful fresh air, while others preferred staying cozy indoors.

Dolly Parton spent a lifetime reminding us of the power of love, kindness, and showing up for the people who matter most. In the wake of her passing, we’ve been thinking about something especially important: caregiving is part of so many families’ stories. It can be an act of love, but it can also be complicated, exhausting, and deeply personal. Because of that, she continues to remind us the importance of taking care of the caregiver. That’s why conversations about aging and caregiving matter, not just when a family reaches a moment of crisis, but long before.
At Artis, we believe care is about more than meeting physical needs. It’s about understanding the whole person, supporting families, creating connection, and helping people continue to live meaningful lives.
Dolly’s legacy reminds us how much one person can give to others. Her story also reminds us that behind every family is a very human journey of love, change, and care. We’re grateful for the reminder to keep talking about it.

Dolly Parton’s legacy includes an unfortunate reality of caregiving: Not taking care of oneself | CNN

Like many caregivers, Dolly Parton didn’t take care of her own health while caring for her ailing husband. That’s not unusual, even among people with resources.0 CommentsComment on Facebook
Cathy enjoyed the music so much she just couldn’t keep her hands still! 🎶💃 Her hands were moving right along with the beat, and that beautiful smile said it all. Music has such a wonderful way of bringing joy! 💜🎵
