💙✨ Day 05 – Sporting ARTIS BLUE! ✨💙
Day 05 of Employee Appreciation Week at Artis Senior Living Potomac was a true celebration of unity, trust, and The Artis Way spirit as we proudly wore ARTIS BLUE!
Our staff, residents, families, and friends came together in blue, representing the strength of our teamwork and the bonds that keep our community connected. It was a day to unwind, socialize, spark friendly competition, and gather as one strong team.
We extend a special thank you to our Director of Health & Wellness, Kutika Harmon, for hosting a festive Fat Tuesday–themed social featuring mocktail Jell-O shots and delicious shrimp sliders. 🎭💙
The celebration continued with honoring two beautiful birthdays during our Mardi Gras–inspired gathering, complete with a curated chocolate cake prepared by our talented Chef Chris. 🎂✨
Wearing ARTIS BLUE reminds us that unity builds trust, and trust builds a thriving community. When we stand together, we grow stronger together.

💚✨ Love for Artis – Day 04 in GREEN! ✨💚
Day 04 of Employee Appreciation Week at Artis Senior Living Potomac was filled with vibrant GREEN — symbolizing momentum, wellness, and the growth we inspire together.
Our staff, residents, families, and friends proudly wore green as we celebrated the strength and unity of our community. The atmosphere was refreshing, uplifting, and full of positive energy.
We were grateful to energize, reset, and relax during our special Wellness Day, hosted by our Director of Community Integration, Lheo Jose. Wellness massage therapy sponsored by Steve’s Relaxation & Foot Massage provided a calming experience for our hardworking team.
Our Green Social delighted everyone with Korean kimbap and bulgogi, bringing flavorful moments of connection around the table. 💚
We also joyfully celebrated Purim with a festive circus theme — learning about the history and meaning of the holiday while enjoying sweet hamantaschen, popcorn, and cotton candy. 🎪🍿 It was a beautiful blend of culture, education, and celebration.
This year, GREEN reminds us that growth happens when we care for ourselves and one another. Momentum builds when wellness is prioritized, and together, we continue cultivating a community rooted in purpose and positivity.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – or STEM – programs help people on the dementia journey by organizing environmental input and engaging multiple senses simultaneously.
Join us later this month for our Power of Play signature event! 🧠 The Inventive Minds Wonder Workshop 🧠 is a multisensory, STEM-based program where we’ll explore light, shadow, movement, and simple inventions – encouraging curiosity and problem-solving, supporting fine-motor skills, and building confidence.
