We are thrilled to announce that Artis Senior Living’s Positive Partner of the Year for 2018 is Artis Senior Living of West Shore’s Coordinator of Health and Wellness, Marina Bardsley. This prestigious recognition is awarded to one Artis associate in the entire company. The special distinction of Positive Partner is bestowed on the associate who best exemplifies the care philosophy of Building Positive Partnerships the Artis Way, as expressed by these five ARTIS tenets: Ability to have a voice, Respecting and Maintaining Relationships, Treasuring Each Person’s Uniqueness, Integrity, Success and Recognition.
Marina has been the Coordinator of Health and Wellness at Artis Senior Living of West Shore since the opening of this location in December 2017. She has been a tremendous asset to the entire community, regularly going well above her own job responsibilities, volunteering to lead special programs, and establishing loving relationships with residents and their families. Marina’s position is one that requires someone who can prioritize resident care, manage multiple tasks at once, pay attention to the smallest detail, and be flexible because no two days are the same. Marina’s personality on a daily basis is enthusiastic and positive allowing her energy to shine through. Marina never lets a moment go by without letting someone know they are treasured and valued. Whether a person needs a laugh, a tear, or a word of encouragement, there is nothing she would not do for a resident, family or associate. In the words of residents, families and associates, “Marina is a little lady with a big heart, a bundle of energy, a smile that’s as big as she is, always giving 110% and awesome at making you feel comfortable and able to calm any situation down”.
Marina was in the running for this award along with 13 other associates who were named Positive Partner of the Year at our other communities throughout the United States. Marina was honored at a surprise ceremony at her community on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 where she was presented with a $2500 check from Don Feltman, President of Artis Senior Living, Frank Wehr, COO & Ed Yarish, CEO of Artis Senior Living Management. In honoring the Artis Philosophy of Respecting and Maintaining Relationships, Marina’s fiancé surprised her at the ceremony to help celebrate this outstanding recognition.
