I’ll start by saying that no place is perfect but Artis Wilmette comes pretty close. We moved our mom into Artis a little over a year ago. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Staff are kind, caring and thoughtful. Tracey, the Executive Director, has an open door policy and she is receptive to all communication . The activities available to residents are stimulating, meaningful and planned around resident interest. Rita, the Activity Director is imaginative and inclusive and she approaches each activity with positive energy and kindness. There is a monthly support group offered to families lead by Maggie, Director of Artis Way. It includes a mixture of guest speakers and time for families to get together to share experiences. If you choose to visit you will be greeted by sweet Kayla who always has a smile and fills you in on all of the daily happenings including the many family parties with live music in the courtyard. The Care Partners are kind and collaborative with nursing to ensure loved ones best care. If you are looking to move your loved one into MC I highly recommend a visit to Artis. I love working here. The place is decorated well. There’s always a celebration. You know it when it’s Mother’s Day, Easter, etc. The nurses and staff are friendly, approachable and really takes care of the residents well being.
Rita is truly exceptional with the residents at Artis. She brings an infectious enthusiasm to every activity she plans. Her ability to make each event engaging and enjoyable is a testament to her creativity and dedication. Rita’s genuine care for the residents shines through in every interaction. She takes the time to understand their individual needs and preferences, ensuring that everyone feels included and valued. Her warmth and compassion create a welcoming atmosphere which make her an indispensable part of the community.
After visiting and considering many facilities, we could not be more satisfied with choosing Artis. The facility and staff are top notch. The facility is very clean and the staff is very professional, patient and compassionate. Kayla at the front reception desk is great. She is the perfect first impression representative of the type of service and care which they provide.
As a provider, I have seen this facility in action since their opening and have been extremely impressed with the care and genuine concern the staff show the residents in their care.
