My husband just recently moved to Artis. He really did not want to leave our home and stay there so the first day was really rough. It’s been 3 weeks since that day and he now loves the place! The food is good, the staff is caring and knowledgeable. I would recommend this facility to anyone that has a loved one with memory issues.
Artis is an amazing establishment with very friendly staff. Artis offers a variety of different activities for its residents. The nursing staff leaves you with the feeling knowing your loved ones are in great hands. The culinary staff also does an excellent job with meal preparation for its residents and their visiting family members.
My husband was at Artis West Shore for almost a year. I was so pleased with the care he received from the amazing staff. It was like a family and everyone called me by my name. They did so many special activities for the residents and the nursing staff kept you updated on health concerns. Portia was so caring and patient with my husband. I was so glad this place was available to care for my husband’s needs and also give support to me and my family.
My Dad lived at Artis before his sudden & unexpected passing. The staff is just wonderful! Not only do they care & take care of the residents they care & take care of residents family, as well. If there is something your loved one enjoys doing they will work it into their activity schedule. Dad always appreciated being able to go outside in the secure garden & watching the birds. I live out of state & always felt comfortable when I headed home because Dad was in good hands with Artis. The facility is so clean!! Dad was able to verbalize well & often said how much he liked it at Artis & that I couldn’t have found a better/nicer place.
Mom was set to go live at Artis but unfortunately her health changed and she could not go. So I can’t review Mom’s stay however I can review events leading up to her impending stay. When contacting Artis for the first time, I was met with caring and compassion in the way of Jodi, their Marketing Director. She put my father and I at ease immediately and answered all our questions. The facility is beautiful and Mom would have been very happy there. When taking the tour, we met a few people, mainly staff and one resident. All were in such good moods! LOL It truly is a joy filled place. They offer so many activities and programs and the price compared to other facilities was very reasonable. I highly recommend Artis for your memory care loved one.
