We were all incredible happy to celebrate our Director of Community Integration Marina Bardsley. Marina has been a foundational member of Artis Senior Living West Shore for the past 8 years. She has combined her skills as an incredible nurse in memory care with her creativity and innovation in caring for for the spirit of each person. It’s World Kindness day, and who better to celebrate than our DCIs. 💖
Our Directors of Community Integration have a role focused entirely on ensuring residents are welcomed with intention, care plans are aligned holistically, families are communicated with proactively, and Artis associates are supported with robust dementia education from day one.

Yesterday was a true honor to host a Veterans lunch for our amazing residents who have served. 🇺🇸🪖🎖️
From reminiscing favorite places that they have traveled to, delicious food, and live music- we celebrated all who have served for our country.
It was an extra special celebration thanks to the help of our Director of Culinary Services, Ciara, & all of her friends who came in to lend a hand ❤️🥰

We’re celebrating National Happy Hour Day with a toast to our well-being – and a refreshingly healthy mocktail recipe from our National Director of Culinary Services, Chef Joel Walding. 🧑🍳 It’s light, bubbly, and packed with ingredients that love you back.
Cucumber-Pear Electrolyte Refresher
🥒 4-5 cucumber slices – rich in beta carotene to help calm inflammation
🍐 1/2 ripe pear, sliced thin – a great source of fiber for gentle digestion
🍯 1 teaspoon honey or agave (optional) – natural sweetness with soothing antioxidants
💚 juice of 1/2 a lime – loaded with vitamin C to give your immune system a lift
sea salt – just a pinch to help your body hold on to hydration
🥥 1/2 cup coconut water – a natural way to restore electrolytes after activity
💦 1/2 cup sparkling water – the more hydration, the better In a shaker or tall glass, muddle the cucumber slices and pear with lime juice and honey or agave until juicy.
Add a pinch of sea salt and pour in the coconut water.
Fill the glass with ice cubes, then top with sparkling water.
