🐥💛 We were treated to a very special visit from The Zen Hens Therapy Chickens , led by recent high school graduate Cade Freehill!
Our residents had the opportunity to hold and pet adorable 2-month-old silkie chickens—and even meet a precious 4-day-old duckling! 🐣 The fluffy silkies, complete with their sweet little bows, quickly stole everyone's hearts.
Cade and his dedicated volunteers have lovingly raised these animals from eggs and trained them as therapy pets to bring what they call "calm clucks." Their visit brought smiles, laughter, comfort, and so many wonderful moments for everyone who attended.
A heartfelt thank you to Cade and the Zen Hens for sharing these amazing animals with our community. We are so grateful for your visit and wish you all the best as you begin your college journey this fall! 🎓💙

Shanta, our longtime Coordinator of Health & Wellness, is known for her calm, caring, and positive attitude. She provides comfort and reassurance to our residents, families, and fellow team members every day. She is also an incredible team player, always willing to step in to cover open shifts and lend a hand wherever she's needed.
Joy, one of our wonderful Culinary Services Assistants, has quickly become an invaluable part of our team. Her creativity shines through in the beautiful birthday desserts she prepares for our residents and the delicious treats she creates for our afternoon social hours. She is hardworking, dependable, and always willing to pick up extra shifts to support her department.
Thank you, Shanta and Joy, for your dedication, compassion, and the positive impact you make in our community each and every day. We are so grateful to have you on our team! 💐👏

There was no shortage of purrs and smiles when our friends from Rock n’ Rescue brought a litter of adorable kittens to visit our community! 🐱💕
From sweet Siamese kittens to playful little escape artists wriggling out of their cozy "purr-ito" blankets, every kitten had a personality all its own. Some of our residents had the magic touch, gently rocking their furry companions right to sleep in their arms, while others laughed as the more rambunctious kittens explored every lap and blanket they could find.
These special visits are a win-win. The kittens benefit from important socialization through gentle handling and affection, and our residents enjoy all the comfort, joy, and laughter that comes from cuddling these precious fur balls. Thank you, Rock n’ Rescue, for sharing these little bundles of happiness with us! ❤️🐾

Today we joined our friends at Artis Senior Living of Briarcliff Manor for a Hudson River cruise with New York Boat Company! We had an absolutely delightful time, soaking up the views, breeze, and beautiful weather! What better way to spend a Friday afternoon than picnicking in the middle of the Hudson River? We even saw an eagles nest 🦅 and had some guided information from the captain about what we were looking at over the waves!
