Anyone can refer families seeking specialized memory care to Artis Senior Living. We regularly receive referrals from friends and family members, healthcare professionals, discharge planners, senior advisors, and other community partners.

How does the referral process work?

Families and friends are welcome and encouraged to contact the community directly at any time. Providers and community partners may submit the client’s details through the Artis referral web page or by calling the community and asking for the Director of Sales and Marketing. The Artis team follows up promptly to arrange for assessment and other support.

What types of people are appropriate for referral to Artis?

Adults who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), frontotemporal dementia, Huntingdon’s disease, Parkinson’s disease dementia, vascular dementia, and other types of dementia or cognitive impairment.

How quickly does Artis respond to referrals?

A member of the Artis team will respond within 24 hours, usually sooner. Timely outreach is important not only in the interest of the person with dementia’s well-being, but also to reduce stress and build trust and confidence with families.

Does Artis collaborate with referral partners?

Yes. The Artis team coordinates closely with the referring partner and the family to ensure smooth transitions into the community. The Director of Community Integration is focused entirely on ensuring residents are welcomed with intention, care plans are aligned holistically across disciplines, families are communicated with proactively, and Artis associates are supported with robust dementia education from day one.
