What Artis families are saying
I have been able to regain a sense of peace and purpose since placing my dad at Artis. It has been a difficult struggle the last year prior to accepting the fact I was wearing myself out and my dad was not engaged and had lost hope. Since his placement the entire Artis team has reenergized my dad and his sense of humor by their honest and open communication. They truly have accepted him (and me) as family. Thank You, I just wished I had made the decision sooner.
Artis is a great place to work. I am grateful and inspired when I get compliments from residents and family members about how great the food is.
Artis is a great place to work with many opportunities for growth and development.
Artis makes sure that your loved ones are honored, taken care of and loved.
I visited this community and had a wonderful experience. I sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes and I’m glad I did because I got to witness how the community staff treats people with respect and kindness – including other staff, families, and even the landscape service vendor. I like how much space there is to walk around but that it’s still really secure. The team here is really committed and kind. I’d recommend checking this place out.
We moved my mom to Artis recently and everyone there has been welcoming and so helpful as we navigate this change. The staff have been so kind and caring. I feel a sense of calm now that my mom is somewhere safe and being watched 24 hours. I’m truly grateful that we were referred to Artis.
After many years of stress, arguments, worry, fear for dad etc. my siblings and I finally came the realization that our father was unable to live in his house that our mother and he had built sixty five years ago. With what we already knew, we took him to a specialist who told us that he was no longer able to make reasonable decisions and we had to make decisions for him. He diagnosed him with two types of dementia. Artis was on our list of places to visit. As soon as my sister and I went through Artis we knew it was the place for dad… The only reason I did not give Artis five stars is because every resident there as some form of dementia which can be extremely difficult to deal with but they do the best they can…This is the first time in many years that I have been able to enjoy my father. This time is so precious to me because he is ninety years old. He is now calm, safe and taken care of.
I am a hospice worker and see my fair share of buildings . The Artis community is one that stands out to me. They are always welcoming and know me by name. The nursing staff is very communicative with my patients needs and knows the smallest details about their day. Kristen is dedicated to helping new residents transition and keeping their families involved with their care and everyday lives . She is great at this role and a true asset to the community. This is one community I recommend to other families in their dementia journey looking for placement.
My aunt was at Artis for 3 years before passing. Our family had the opportunity to work with the team members over these years. Cannot say enough about this wonderful group of caring professionals. Care was exceptional. We always felt comfortable that our aunt was receiving great care and attention.
Sara and Kristen were great with communication and always displayed empathy for the residents and families.
