Last Friday we celebrated the heartbeat of our community: our wonderful volunteers. From the familiar faces who lead our Bible studiy and Reading Club to the four-legged friends who bring so much joy during pet therapy, these individuals give more than just their time—they give their talents and their hearts. Whether they are leading a discussion or simply offering a listening ear, their presence changes the energy in our hallways.
To our residents, they are cherished friends. To our staff, they are an essential part of the "village" it takes to make every day at Artis meaningful. They provide the extra hands and the extra smiles that make such a difference, and we truly cannot thank them enough.
To the Life Enrichment team and our entire staff, these volunteers are a gift. We were so happy to gather and officially recognize their dedication with our Volunteer appreciation happy hour.

Our April 'Power of Play' event was centered around the colors and textures of Spring, offering a unique art experience. Residents and families engaged in process-based art, utilizing a palette of sky blue, lavender, and soft yellow, and traded traditional brushes for natural alternatives.
The event featured three sensory stations, including
🌿 Nature’s Brushes, where participants painted with ferns and leaves
🌸 Flower Pressing, where real petals were used to create floral designs
🌱 Texture & Roll, where rolling pins and greenery generated patterns on kraft paper.
Embracing the process, we focused on the joy of creating rather than perfection.
The event's success was a direct result of collective effort and dedication by our volunteers and staff! 🙌🏽🙏🏽
