An Artis Virtual Workshop for Families
End of life is something most people don’t want to talk about. We often do not have the proper documents or discussions with our families when they are physically and cognitively able. Join us for an informative program led by End-of-Life Doula Chelsea Duckers about ways to help ensure a dying person’s wishes are honored, and everyone is prepared for the journey.

Our residents brought all the autumn vibes to this month’s "Power of play- play as Imagination" creative workshop! 🎃✨
We celebrated the Fall season by decorating and painting pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. At one table, residents got incredibly creative decorating white pumpkins with elegant ribbons and delicate dried flowers. At another table , others rolled up their sleeves and got to painting bright, colorful designs!
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with imagination, laughter, and beautiful seasonal art. 🍂🎨

It’s National Physical Therapy Month, and we’re grateful for the hands that keep us moving.
Physical therapists help residents build strength, improve balance, and move through each day with confidence. This work shows up in real moments: finding steady footing on the dance floor, walking to dinner with a friend, gardening, painting, or pursuing a hobby brings them joy.
No matter where our residents are on their journey, physical therapists are there to celebrate the small wins as much as the big ones.

Today was a very special day for our resident, Pat! ❤️
Pat was honored with a veteran pinning ceremony in recognition of his years of service in the U.S. Navy. The wonderful team from Hospice of Cincinnati helped make this intimate moment extra special, including a beautiful salute to honor his service.

🎨 Creativity lives in the senses. By exploring texture, shape, color, and sound, we light up multiple pathways in the brain, each a new doorway to expression and connection on the dementia journey.
In October, we’re exploring Play as Imagination at Artis. Join us in celebrating the wonderfully weird decorative gourd. Smooth ones, bumpy ones, tall ones, round ones, inviting us to touch, create, and play. Wrap them in ribbon, turn them into shakers, sort them by size, or help build a gourd village.
