Weep no more, my lady … it’s Kentucky Derby Day!
An event so steeped in tradition is a great reason to celebrate at Artis. The song “My Old Kentucky Home” is one of the most widely recognized and performed songs in music history. And everyone knows the bugle playing the call to the post means it’s time for the fun to begin! Familiar songs ground our identity and spark some of our residents’ earliest memories.

Yesterday, in honor of National Jellybean Day, we had some sweet fun while raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association 💜 We filled jars with jellybeans and challenged everyone to guess the amount for a chance to win—and brought out some friendly competition with Jellybean Hockey! Residents and staff faced off against our directors for the title of Jellybean King or Queen for the day 👑 Thanks to everyone who participated, we raised $135!
This is just the beginning—we’ll continue hosting fun events throughout the year as we lead up to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 3rd.
