Nothing brings out the competitive spirit quite like a friendly game of air hockey! 🏒😄
Our residents had a blast facing off in today’s air hockey challenge, cheering each other on, sharing laughs, and showing off their quick reflexes. Activities like these are a fun way to encourage movement, hand-eye coordination, social connection, and a little healthy competition.
The smiles, concentration, and playful banter around the table made this one a definite hit. Who knew air hockey could get so intense? 😉

As part of our “Pocket Programming” approach, residents enjoyed this activity in smaller, more intentional groups designed to create a calmer, more personalized life enrichment experience. These moments allow for deeper connection, meaningful engagement, and activities tailored to each resident’s pace and interests. 💙
From colorful gems and flowers to meaningful designs and personal touches, each resident created a one-of-a-kind rock masterpiece during our “You Rock” art program. Activities like these encourage creativity, self-expression, fine motor skills, and most importantly… smiles and connection.
There’s nothing better than watching our residents light up while creating together, sharing ideas, laughing, and proudly showing off their finished pieces. Great job everyone — these creations are as beautiful and unique as the people who made them! 😊

One year ago, Andres joined the team at Olney Memory Care by Artis as Director of Sales & Marketing, and since day one he has brought passion, heart and dedication to every family, resident and care partner he meets. May is Mental Health Awareness Month – and at Artis, we know that supporting our residents means supporting the families and caregivers who love them, too.
Caregiving is meaningful work. It's also emotionally demanding in ways that are easy to minimize and hard to sustain alone. Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. adults are currently caring for a loved one – and many are doing so without much support of their own.

The competition got REAL today at Olney Memory Care 🏇😂
To celebrate Preakness weekend, our staff and directors raced around the community while residents placed their bets on who would take home the crown! After 5 intense laps filled with laughs, cheering, and plenty of trash talk, Lawrence, our Director of Life Enrichment, crossed the finish line in 1st place, Andres (Director of Sales & Marketing) came in 2nd, and Kevin from our concierge team secured 3rd.
